Chris Hartley

Chris has over 25+ years’ experience working in Corporate, SME’s and Not for Profits throughout Australia and internationally. He has worked in both the UK and USA and has built and sold his own successful business a couple of times. 

Most recently he was a Director at Proviso, a FinTech start up based in Adelaide that grew to employ 20 staff, servicing in excess of 250 business customers throughout ANZ (Proviso was sold to Dunn and Bradstreet  in 2018). 

Chris has also had experience in Board Advisory, including his current role as President for the Childhood Cancer Association and his current roles in an advisory capacity with a winery in the McLaren Vale district and a manufacturer based in Plympton.

Chris's experience with SMBs

In the agriculture and manufacturing space over the last 18 months Chris has worked in an advisory capacity with 2 wineries in the McLaren Vale district one of these, a large exporter of wines to Asia. Both grow their own grapes as well as purchasing locally. Chris also been working with a South Australian manufacturer of natural soft drinks (a sugar free, pro and pre-biotic) that has grown from Start-up 12 months ago to a solid retail distribution of over 150 outlets and will launch into Asia early in the new year.

In the past he has worked with Australia’s largest manufacturer of premium toiletries as well as one of the largest imports and distributors of toiletries and cosmetics. From his current roles and past experience, Chris has an excellent, ‘real life’ understanding of the challenges of working with the TGA and the rewards and challenges of import and export.
